Skoda's cars are known for their value-for-money. These cars have a number features that make driving more convenient for the driver. Some of these features include a proximity lock that unlocks the car as you approach it and a security feature that prevents the ignition from turning on when the key is inserted.
Keyless Entry
Keyless entry is one of the most popular features on new cars. You can unlock your car by simply walking towards it and activating it using your body, without needing to touch the key handle or fob. Certain systems also lock your vehicle automatically when you step away.

Remote Control
Keyless systems are different from traditional keys, which need to be physically turned into the lock cylinder in order to unlock the car. Instead they rely on antennas installed in the door. Whenever the key gets within approximately one meter of the car, it sends a signal through these antennas. If the key is in place, the system responds with an affirmative signal and unlocks the car. If it's set up, it also turns on the car's welcome lights.
The next generation of this keyless unlocking system, used in cars like the fourth-generation OCTAVIA and ENYAQ iV, does not even require pressing the button, but a few conditions must be satisfied. In addition to the driver sitting in the car, and the lever that controls the gears being moved to position D, the brake pedal must be depressed and the keys must be in the ignition.
If the system is in place, the car will unlock the door when the conditions are fulfilled. The boot can also be opened with a similar system.
